Q:

How does it work?

A:

Sign up to be a Workshopper or a Spectator. The two Workshoppers will have 20-30 minutes each to spend how they choose on their material. Then Caroline and the Spectators will give them feedback.

Q:

Where does it meet?

A:

On Zoom (based in NYC.)

Q:

When does it meet?

A:

This workshop meets roughly once per week for one hour. The day and time changes every week. Check the online calendar for the upcoming schedule.

Q:

How much does it cost?

A:

Pay what you can. There's a sliding scale to accommodate those with tight budgets. There's a minimum of $5 to be a Spectator, but a required $15 in order to workshop your material.

Q:

Who runs it?

A:

Caroline Gordon-Elliott, professional story coach

Q:

Who can join?

A:

Anyone who wants to talk script writing. All ages are welcome (though there will probably be profanity, so beware.)

Q:

Why are there "Tiered" tickets?

A:

Artists are not famous for being the wealthiest people (no offense.) So we've set up a fee scale that everyone can afford. No matter which tier you choose, you get the same thing. We just ask that you pay what you're able.

Q:

Do I have to be an awesome writer?

A:

Writers of all levels can be a Workshopper. The crappier you are, the more feedback we get to give!

Q:

What kinds of material can I workshop?

A:

Tell us your concept and Caroline will help you flesh it out. Bring your questions about screenwriting, and we'll answer them! Show us your outline, and Caroline will critique it. Practice your pitch on us, and we'll give you feedback. Let us read a few pages, and we'll tell you what we think.

Q:

Am I allowed to just sit and listen?

A:

Absolutely. Get yourself a "Spectator" ticket and sit quietly, or participate in discussion. Up to you!

Q:

Should I be worried about another writer stealing my idea?

A:

No. And not because it could never happen. If all another writer needed to sell a script was a good idea, everyone would be a writer.
